Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument

Cannonville exhibits address Paiute and Mormon settlement of the Monument lands.

The Lobby features a 24’ x 18’ original mural behind the reception desk. A tabletop terrain map anchors a trip planning area. A niche exhibit interprets Paiute and pioneer artifacts and is supplemented with oral histories and an “Ask the Experts” interactive video.

Metal silhouette sculptures in garden settings are used outdoors to interpret the contrasting use of the land by the Paiutes and the Mormon settlers.
